As apart of the Wildlife Improvement policy, signage will highlight areas of increased biodiversity. Over 40% of UK animal species have declined, and over 25% of all UK mammals face extinction. East Devon has been developing Wildlife Improvement areas in suitable locations and monitoring changes in biodiversity levels. These signs share the work that is on going and create awareness of its importance.
